I love re-imagining the natural world around me through my art work. Focusing on this world artistically has helped improve my world-building skills in my writing.
I love the sky at dawn. While it is quite beautiful at sunset, it doesn’t hit the same for me. Being outside at dawn as the sun paints the sky can border on sacred for me. Experiencing the divine only requires being present in those moments.

A confession: I love to escape reality, and daydreaming is my favorite way to do so. As long as I can remember, this abandoned valley was, and is, my mental escape.

Shockingly, this started out as a mountain range. However, upon seeing her face, it all changed.
Samne (Saw-nay) is one of the lead characters in The Histories of Violet Howl series. This shows here taking a moment to just exist near the water.

This one is inspired by the beautiful pictures I see from space. Nebulas, dust, and various other particles swirled together against the seemingly empty void of a background simply creates amazing visuals, in my opinion.
Morning Dream
Did I mention I love recreating this scene? This one was done with the faint hue of dawn cast across the otherwise empty landscape.
Wash
Honestly, this one surprised me. I was half asleep and trying to do something before I fell asleep. I finished it. saved it, and passed out. Upon seeing it in the morning, I was shocked. This face is like a fading memory to me; the pain, beauty, and strength of their years represented in the negative.
